- 10,000 children learned about nature through Audubon in-school programs.
- 1,400 young participants shared outdoor experiences in Audubon nature camps, including sponsored camps for children from low income families.
- 50,000 people participated in 200 environmental outreach events including bird, plant and art festivals, excursions, presentations and perennial favorites:
         Birdathon, a good-natured competition to spot a maximum number of bird species in a limited time, and raise funds for Portland Audubon.
         Swift Watch, where 20,000 people celebrated the migratory gathering of Vaux Swifts by the thousands at Portland’s Chapman School chimney.
         Peregrine Watch, engaging 150 volunteers in citizen science to monitor recovery of these graceful aerial divers.
         Wild Arts Festival, an art show and book fair that celebrates nature and raises funds for Portland Audubon.
          Wild in the City outdoor adventures, Bird Nights and Nature Nights to learn from experts, multi-day birding trips and much more.

- 60,000 people visited our 150-acre sanctuaries in Portland, and thousands visited our Nature Store and interpretive center at 5151 NW Cornell Road for gifts and birding essentials.
- 210 acres of important habitat were added to our sanctuaries on the Central Oregon coast along with a $200,000 endowment for its stewardship, and an adjacent five acres came under ownership at Audubon’s home base in Forest Park.
