When: May 25, 2017 from 06:00 pm to 08:00 pm

Learn how to advocate for conservation issues and effectively participate in a variety of public processes.

Where: Heron Hall at the Portland Audubon Nature Sanctuary

Public participation is an essential part of our municipal, state, and federal government and there are many ways you can voice your opinion to ensure your values are represented! Voting in elections is one way you can engage politically, but there are several strategies available to you to effectively participate in a variety of public processes. Join our Conservation staff for our activist training to make sure that your voice is heard!

For most of its 100 year history, Portland Audubon has harnessed the power of its community to help guide and direct public policy for the betterment of wildlife and people in our region. Attend this activist training to learn tricks to effectively participate in a variety of public processes through submitting testimony, following the decision making process, and seeing those improvements to enactment.
