The 16th Annual UERC Symposium is just around the corner! This event highlights urban environmental issues in the Portland/Vancouver area including the practical application of related ecological and social science research, innovative habitat restoration projects and much more.

The 16th Annual UERC Symposium is just around the corner! This event highlights urban environmental issues in the Portland/Vancouver area including the practical application of related ecological and social science research, innovative habitat restoration projects and much more. There will be brief presentations and a poster session as well as networking opportunities and lunchtime discussion groups. This year we have two great keynote speakers:

Dr. Charles Nilon, Univ. of Missouri, School of Natural Resources, will talk about urban wildlife ecology and conservation, human dimensions in wildlife management

Judy Bluehourse Skelton, Sr Instructor, Portland State University, will talk about indigenous permaculture and integrating traditional ecological knowledge into restoration work.

Register by credit card www.uercportland.org. Lunch is included if registration is before 1/26/18. General: $45 (before 1/15/18) & $60 (after 1/15/18), Student: $15, Volunteer $10.
