Migrating Vaux's Swifts roost communally in chimneys (urban substitutes for snags), and have garnered much fame for their well-loved nightly spectacle at Chapman School during the month of September.  We know of multiple other roost chimneys in the Metropolitan area, and we are looking for Swift roost monitors to count at sites in Portland, Oregon City, West Linn, McMinnville, and Camas.

If you are interested in evening monitoring during the month of September, contact Mary Coolidge at 503.292.6855 x111 or mcoolidge@audubonportland.  Commitment: ~4 or more nights in September, around sunset.
