The Audubon Society of Portland's fundraising events are friend raisers!
Besides the many Audubon Society of Portland community events, we celebrate these fundraisers which engage thousands of participants. We welcome anyone and everyone to participate in the fun and help support our efforts to protects birds, other wildlife and their habitats across our urban and rural landscapes.
Annual Events:
Birdathon - A competitive and educational event for any level of birdwatcher where participants collect pledges for finding and counting bird species. Join our guided trips, organize your own trip or count independently. All trips are led by birding experts and are a great way to make new friends and connect with other bird lovers.
Wild Arts Festival - The Wild Arts Festival celebrates nature in the work of regionally and nationally-known artists and writers. Now in its 31st year, the
Festival has become the northwest’s premier show and sale of nature related art and books. The participating artists and craftspeople represent a wide variety of media, and the authors present are a mix of novelists, photographers, poets and writers of non-fiction.
Native Plant Sale - All gardeners are welcome as we celebrate the growing season every May with our native plane sale. Over 100 species of Oregon wildflowers, shrubs, and trees will be available to enhance your yard, with free education sessions and on-site plant experts to answer your questions.
Trips, Classes and Camps - Both kids and adults enjoy birds and explore and enjoy new habitats in our education programs. Our Adult Programs range from evening classes to week-long courses, to both local field trips and international tours. We offer nature-based Winter, Spring and Summer Camps for children in 1st-12th grade. kids have a positive and engaging experience in nature so they learn to love and protect it.
