Wild Arts Festival 2009 a Resounding Success

Spirits were high at this year’s Wild Arts Festival and the final results of the event reflected that enthusiasm. The renewed festival is hitting its stride and the media coverage (Oregonian article) this year no doubt contributed to the increased attendance. Overall, our revenues were up 40% from last year and each component of the Festival — art, books and silent auction — contributed to that success.

We received wonderful feedback from artists, authors, sponsors and attendees alike. Many of the comments tell us that people enjoy our diverse mix of artists; the popularity of our authors brings people back year after year; our educational birds never cease to amaze; and that our volunteers are the best.

Thanks to all of the wonderful artists, authors, auction donors, staff and above all volunteers who made the 2009 Festival such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you!
