Syd the Red-tailed Hawk
On one of her very first flights after leaving the nest, Syd was struck by a car and fractured her left wing. The bones healed, but Syd is only able to fly very short distances. Syd goes to lots of schools and community events and allows people to get an up close look at one of our most beautiful birds of prey. Syd has lived at the Wildlife Care Center since 1990.
