Members Only" Swarovski Optik Sample Sale

Demonstration samples donated by Swarovski Optik in perfect operating condition are for sale at the Nature Store! Three Swarovision EL 10x42 binoculars and accessories for their newer sighting scopes including fixed wide-angle eyepieces 30x and 45x that are great for both astronomy and nature observation, digiscoping camera attachments (for DSLR and Point & Shoot), and aluminum tripod legs are available.

Probably the most fun donation is a very unique pair of Tyrol compact 8x20 binoculars with a distinctive tooled leather belt case. These items are only available for purchase by ASOP members. Here is a list of items and prices.

Audubon's Optics Selection

At the Nature Store, you’ll find a great selection of optics for nature observation. We carry the top quality sighting scopes made by Swarovski and Kowa, both honored by Cornell Labs as the “best in their class” in their most recent scope comparison test (see Living Bird, Winter 2008).

In addition, we display a wide selection of mid-priced scopes with models by Vortex, Leupold & Stevens, Redfield and Zen-ray. Entry level scope prices begin at just $325, or $292.50 for members.

Many of our scopes feature Extra-Low Dispersion/High-Definition Glass (HD, ED, XD or FL) and some are available with optional digiscoping attachments for photography, using either cameras or smartphones. We also sell “universal” smartphone photo adapters that fit a wide range of binoculars.

Our Manfrotto tripods provide the perfect stable base for your sighting scope. Sold as separate components, you can pair legs made of either affordable aluminum or super-light-weight carbon fiber with a selection of heads for every purpose, including digiscoping. We’re also pleased to offer Swarovski Optik’s line of aluminum and carbon fiber tripod legs and their super light, ergonomically re-designed DH101 tripod head.

Our selection of binoculars comes from some of the world’s best optics manufacturers: Swarovski, Zeiss, Nikon, Leupold & Stevens, Vortex, Opticron, and Zen-ray. We carry more than 40 models ranging from bi-fold compacts that slip into your shirt pocket to full-sized HD models perfect for bird watching from dawn to dusk. Most models we carry were selected as Cornell “Top Picks” in their Autumn 2013 binocular review.

Binocular prices range from under $100 to over $2,500 with Portland Audubon members receiving a 10% discount off regular prices. View our price list.
