Stefan Schlick will take you on a journey to explore molt in birds. Molt is the replacement of some or all feathers on an annual basis. It is a complex subject, but we will keep it nice and simple and look at lots of examples. We will seek answers to why and how birds molt, also highlighting how you can use molt to identify and age birds. A half-day carpooling field trip will take us to Sauvie Island, where we will see how molt applies to our wintering birds.

Fee for Class with Field Trips, limited to 14 participants: $50 members / $65 non-members (Event Type = Adult class with field trip)

Fee for Class-only Option:
$14 (Event Type = Adult Class)
