Spend the week traveling to local birding hot spots like Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge and Sauvie Island. Use binoculars and field guides to become Junior Ornithologists, learning the techniques of bird identification while seeing these amazing winged creatures in the wild. You’ll keep a bird Species List and learn all kinds of cool facts about the birds that call the Pacific Northwest home. We will even spend a day rafting the Sandy River, spying on the Great Blue Heron in its watery habitat.
