Bigfoot: Searching the Dark Divide (Sun-Fri) (Overnight)
Document Actions
Bigfoot… Myth or monster…animal or man? The name alone conjures up images both mysterious and savage. Since the release of the now famous Patterson film made in Northern California in the late 60's, we have entered a new era of scientific study, amateur research and outright hoaxing. Separating fact from fiction is more difficult now than ever before, but this will be the task we embark on during this week of authentic investigation.
We will make camp at a primitive site in the region between Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams known as the Dark Divide. From our base camp deep in the forest, we will spend the week searching riverbeds and the forest floor for tracks; we'll project alleged Sasquatch calls into the night, standing ready to record any response; and we'll utilize infa-red cameras, sound amplifying equipment and other modern technologies on our quest to find evidence of the existence of Bigfoot.
Join Education Director Steve Robertson as YOU become the Researcher in this week-long adventure into the unknown. Meet and work with his team of experienced Bigfoot Experts, and hear first-hand stories from people who swear to have come face-to-face with this massive creature. No one can say what the odds are of our own encounter, but they are as high as one could hope, as we will be searching in the very heart of the region where more alleged Bigfoot sightings have occurred than any other place in the world!
