June 6: Chipmunks

Three baby chipmunk siblings were brought to the care center in late May after being cornered by a dog. The first photo below was taken soon after their arrival, when the babies’ eyes had barely started to open (the chipmunk on its back is fast asleep despite the antics of its siblings). The second photo was taken just yesterday, and it shows how quickly they’ve been growing. The siblings should be ready for release in another three weeks.
