Going Feral Book

Join author and nature explorer Heather Durham as she takes us through her unique tales of wanderlust and exploration of the natural world.

From spelunking in bat caves in New Hampshire, to surveying owls in Oregon, to hiding out with flamingos in urban Utah, Going Feral: Field Notes on Wonder and Wanderlust is a memoir in essays examining a life of wandering in wild nature.

As a nomadic and often reclusive introvert, Durham’s intimate bond with the natural world wherever she roams offers meaning, solace, and a sense of belonging both within and apart from human communities. Part reverential nature writing, part soul-searching memoir, Going Feral is the story of a human animal learning to belong to the earth.

This event is free.
