Patient of the Week: Western Tanager Recovering After Window Strike

We received a Western Tanager after a good Samaritan found them on the ground, unable to fly but still alive after colliding with a window at their home. Unfortunately most window strikes are lethal, with an estimated 50-75% of birds dying from the collision.

Patient of the Week: American Mink’s Homecoming

When a good Samaritan showed up at our Wildlife Care Center with an orphaned baby American Mink in early June, we knew we would have to raise her. Fortunately, she was a quick study and she learned how to forage and hunt for herself very quickly.
