Bird Alliance of Oregon Birding Day: Tillamook Bay and Estuary with Brodie Cass Talbott

Relatively mild temperatures and rich pasture and estuarine habitat make the Tillamook Bay area a favorite for exciting winter birding. We’ll visit a variety of areas looking for raptors, gulls, songbirds, and waterfowl, and keeping an eye out for local winter specialties like White-tailed Kite and Palm Warbler.

This trip will feature 1-2 miles of total hiking, mostly along flat gravel roads and unpaved forest trails. Formal bathrooms will be limited. The weather will likely be cold with a chance of rain, so please come prepared with adequate weather gear, as well as food and water. Participants will drive themselves.

Trip limited to 10 participants.
