Bird Alliance of Oregon Birding Day: Washington County Wetlands with John Rakestraw

This trip will explore several wetland sites in Washington County. We should find migrating shorebirds and the raptors that hunt them, large flocks of swallows, returning waterfowl, and the first wintering sparrows. Likely sites include Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, Jackson Bottom Wetlands Reserve, and Fernhill Wetlands. The final itinerary will be determined by water levels and recent sightings.

You will drive yourself to the sites. Dress for the weather, bring food and water and wear comfortable shoes, as there will be a lot of walking on level terrain.
