All Hands on Deck with Guests Governor Inslee & Cong. Blumenauer

Join us for a special evening as we discuss critical environmental issues with Professor Bill Ripple and special guests Washington Governor Jay Inslee and Congressman Earl Blumenauer. The event will include a presentation from Dr. Ripple and a public forum style Q&A session with Governor Inslee and Congressman Blumenauer.

Doors open at 6:45, refreshments served, Worthy Beer on sale.

Washington Governor Jay Inslee served in Congress between 1992 and 2012, when he was elected Governor; Governor Inslee is nationally recognized for his work to develop a clean energy economy, and the importance of addressing climate change.

Congressman Earl Blumenauer has represented Portland in the U.S. Congress since 1996; he serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, and is an acknowledged leader on regional
and global environmental issues.

Dr. Bill Ripple was the principal author of the letter “World Scientists’ Warning to Humanity: A Second Notice.” As a health checkup for planet Earth, this letter has reached millions of people and is one of the most widely discussed and endorsed scientific articles of recent times. His talks are full of illustrated stories about his 20-year journey from first only doing ecological research to now being an advocate for science and the environment, and he provides many suggestions for sustainable living on planet Earth.
