Author Event: “Kalama’s Journey” by Hob Osterlund

Everything about the Laysan albatross is superlative.  They fly the farthest and live the longest of any wild bird.  Their affection for their mates and chicks is legendary.  They are bright, inquisitive and pioneering.  And now they’re challenged with the biggest obstacle they’ve ever faced.

Join us for a lively evening with Safina Center Fellow Hob Osterlund, author of Holy Moli, founder of Kauai Albatross Network and producer of a short documentary “Kalama’s Journey.” After watching the short documentary Hob will discuss the film and her experiences working with these extraordinary birds.
