Journaling Autumn Series: Journaling Autumn Series: Coloration, Markings, and Surroundings with Jude Siegel

This in-person class will be held indoors at Portland Audubon in Heron Hall.

Take one or more, and find out that, yes, you can learn to draw and paint birds! Each class is complete, and the skills build from class to class. No art or birding experience is needed! For joy, not mastery! Keeping a bird journal is fun, easy, portable, and a creative, relaxing way to record your experiences with birds.

Beginners welcome! Lots of support and encouragement as you gently learn to see differently and to draw and paint joyfully. The process is emphasized, as is awareness and relaxation. Discover fun ways to suggest different markings and coloration on your journal birds using pen and our paints. A little can say a lot if you know some tricks!

A watercolor painting of a Varied Thrush. The handwritten text says "So many Varied Thrushes every day at the seed! The males chase of many other birds. I love watching them! Sometimes they're in the trees"
