Bald Eagle Release at Kelley Point Park
Our current Bald Eagle patient is ready to be released! This bird arrived at our Wildlife Care Center on April 4, 2019 with multiple traumatic injuries including head trauma, a corneal abrasion, and a coracoid fracture, most likely due to a collision with a car on I-5 in Vancouver. After almost 100 days in care, the bird is fully flighted and ready to return to the wild!
We’re inviting the public to watch as this bird heads back to its natural habitat. Please meet at the Kelley Point Park (N Marine Drive and Lombard Street) in Portland at 9:30 am. Meet at the innermost parking lot and we will walk together to the release site.
*Please note that the release is dependent upon good weather. We will update this event listing if the release is canceled due to weather.
