Field Trip: Birding by Ear – Shorebirds with Brodie Cass Talbott *FULL*

On this morning outing, we’ll search Fernhill Wetlands for any of the dozen shorebirds that regularly pass through the area in August.

We’ll work on using their characteristic calls to help us ID these challenging birds (and for good measure, we’ll work on their visual field marks as well).

Come dressed for lots of sun exposure, and be prepared for 2-3 miles of walking on flat surfaces.

Trip limited to 10 participants.

This outdoor program will follow all physical distancing and safety protocols dictated by the Oregon Health Administration. Masks required. Please feel free to bring your own spotting scope if you have one. Scroll down for details.
