Field Class: Birding by Ear, Spring and Summer Migrants with Laura Whittemore *FULL*

In this two-session field class with longtime ear birder Laura Whittemore you’ll get to know the songs and calls of spring and summer migrant songbirds such as Black-headed Grosbeak, Western Tanager, House Wren, Common Yellowthroat, and Swainson’s Thrush. Because they are visitors, we don’t have as much time in the year to listen for and learn them, so a class geared specifically to their voices will give your learning a real boost.

Meeting Locations

May 12, Wapato Access Greenway State Park, Sauvie Island
May 26, Sandy River Delta

Learn the songs of our favorite migrant songbirds!
