Beginning Birding by Ear: Tips & Tricks

Join Brodie to really hone your birding by ear skills in our beginning birding by ear online learning courses. These classes will take you on a deep dive into bird vocalizations, what different sounds mean, and introduce you to the fascinating world of bird calls in your own backyard and beyond. Please register separately for each class in this series.

Tips & Tricks Merlin is helpful for identifying hidden singers, but its not always right, and its not always at hand. What other resources can you use to learn how to identify bird vocalizations on your own? In part two of this introductory series, we will discuss approaches to learning vocalizations and some of the tools that experienced birders use to decipher the identities of our feathered songsters.
