Intermediate Birding by Ear: Winter Migrants
Winter birding for songbirds can feel like a whole different discipline. Rather than watching a sharply plumaged bird sing from an exposed perch, we’re hoping to use chip notes and alarm calls to help us learn the identity of stubborn skulkers, buried in the bush.
In this class, we’ll welcome back our winter migrants like Fox Sparrow, Varied Thrush, and Ruby-crowned Kinglet by reacquainting ourselves with their vocalizations.
Join Brodie for the accompanying field trip to practice your birding by ear skills in the field. Limited to 10 participants.
