Bird Journal Basics: Coloration and Markings

No art experience is needed! Relaxation and awareness help you learn new ways of seeing, and then of drawing and using watercolor simply. For joy, not mastery! Keeping a bird journal is fun, easy, portable, and a creative relaxing way to record your experiences with birds, at home, or anywhere in the field in a more creative than “perfection” style. Each class has a different focus, and each class reviews some basics.

In this class, you will learn ways to simplify those complex patterns on birds, using pen, watercolor, fun prints and stamps with plants, etc. Resulting in markings and coloration that read well and are simple! It’s amazing how watercolor, a brush, a pen, and other tools can create the feeling of spots, stripes, patterns. Try some of these ways, where less is more!
Come find out how in this session!
