Birding from Home: Bird Activity & the Changing Season with Dan van den Broek and Candace Larson

During this “stay at home” era, finding ways to connect with nature and the outdoors is more important than ever. The Birding From Home classes are designed to help backyard birders take a deeper dive into the wonder of local birds and the healing power of nature. Lectures will run 50 minutes and we’ll have a live question and answer section at the end.

Bird Activity & the Changing Season Our summer breeding birds are raising their young and some migrants are already preparing for the long trip south. But why and how do birds migrate? Learn the fundamentals of bird movement from riding thermals to reading the stars, discover some of the latest techniques in migration science, and find out how you can help protect migrating birds in your own neighborhood!
