Bird Biologist *FULL*

What are the tools of a bird biologist and how are they used? Where is the best place to find birds in Portland? Join Bird Alliance of Oregon Educators for a week of feathered friend forays to answer these questions and more! Spy on Great Blue Heron and Osprey on the Willamette River and search for wrens and warblers at Smith and Bybee Lake. Explore Sauvie Island, looking for berries and Bald Eagles, listening for the calls of American Coots and Pied-billed Grebes. Whatever you do, flock to this camp and start on the path to becoming a Bird Biologist!

Week-long Camp: July 11 – July 15, 8:30/8:45 a.m. – 3:15/3:30 p.m.
Grades: 6-8
Drop off Location:
Grades 6-8 meet at Upper Macleay Park, which neighbors Bird Alliance of Oregon on Cornell Road to the east.
Type of Camp: On the Go Camps are day camps that travel by van or bus to learn about some of the beautiful parks, greenspaces and forests that are in and surround Portland.
