Bird Identification Basics with Brodie Cass Talbott

Birds are ever-present and beloved, but can be a real pain in the neck to identify at times! Join Brodie Cass Talbott for a breakdown of what to consider as we try to ID our feathered friends. We’ll learn what to focus on (and what to forget about) including discussion on shape and size, color patterns, behavior and habitat, and voice – all keys to help us enjoy birds right as spring migration brings our highest bird diversity of the year. While we will use local birds as our examples, this class is meant as a guide to identification rather than focused on identification of specific species.
