Bird Journal Basics: Quick Sketches *FULL*

No art experience is needed! Relaxation and awareness help you learn new ways of seeing, and then of drawing and using watercolor simply. For joy, not mastery! Keeping a bird journal is fun, easy, portable, and a creative relaxing way to record your experiences with birds, at home, or anywhere in the field in a more creative than “perfection” style. Each class has a different focus, and each class reviews some basics.

Practice noticing and discovering how to see shapes, postures, proportions, and angles more easily, and then draw those birds in your journal more effectively. Add a little watercolor to your page and some writing, and you have a wonderful journal page. In this class, we will cover tips on how to get the gist fast. We will focus on a “Less is More” theme. Come find out how in this session!

Bring lunch, snacks, and a water bottle.
