Bird Journals for Beginners and Continuing Journalers – Drawing/Painting Practice: Tips for at Home *FULL*
Get started or continue with your bird journal, using drawing, simple watercolor, and writing. We use specimens and photos to practice. You will try simple ways to learn to see in new ways, then draw, write, and use watercolors, and develop your pages. No art experience needed, just enthusiasm and a few tools! Register for each class separately.
Drawing/Painting Practice: Tips for at Home
We will practice with specimens in this class, to prepare for on-the-spot journaling. We’ll play with different views, studies, and discover fun ways to use your pencil and brush in the field, and at home. This is a monthly Saturday class with Jude Siegel. You may take one or more of the series! Each class is complete in itself with a focus and exercises.
Trail Accessibility: This class will be held in the Portland Audubon nursery area which is across the street from the Nature Store and main building. It will require a walk of about 400 meters up a moderate hill. It is a dirt trail and the ground below the tables and chairs is not even.
