Burns Paiute Tribe Upland Restoration Stewardship Weekend

Portland Audubon is working with the Burns Paiute Tribe’s Natural Resources Department to plant native vegetation in the uplands of the Tribe’s property along the Malheur River. We will plant on the 18th and 19th then head out on the 20th. Gloves provided. Participants will be driven by BPT staff, via ATV, to the work sites. The plantings will occur in rocky and shrubby areas. Camping provided east of Juntura, at the Tribe’s property. Camping gear available.

This is one of three Stewardship Parties: These multi-day events are for folks who want to get their hands dirty. Join Portland Audubon and local partners in restoring wildlife habitat in Harney County (and of course doing some great bird watching!). Here is a general itinerary for a stewardship weekend.
