Distance Learning: Challenging Lookalikes – Shorebirds and all other Passerines with Stefan Schlick

Join Stefan Schlick for this intermediate-level class exploring how to tell difficult species apart. Common species in the Pacific Northwest often have an uncommon or rare look-alike. Sometimes there is more than one look-alike. There are also several cases of two relatively common species that are hard to separate. Stefan will present identification field marks for how to separate them in the field.

A few of the bewildering species we’ll cover in this class are:

Hutton’s Vireo vs Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Western vs Least vs Semipalmated Sandpiper
