**This event is reserved for Black, Indigenous and People of Color and also reserved for the Queer & Trans Communities.**
Dragonfly Walk | Meeting Location: Leaven Community Center, 5431 NE 20th Ave
Join Wild Diversity and Portland Audubon as we explore the wonders of summer dragonflies! 93 species of odonates (dragonflies and damselflies) have been recorded in Oregon, many of them right here in the metro area. Candace Larson, Portland Audubon field biologist, will introduce you to the life history and ecology of these flying mosquito-eaters as we amble around various area wetlands, armed with binoculars, cameras and curiosity. Of course, we’ll stop to admire birds and butterflies as well. Beginners welcome, binoculars available, bring your camera if you like!
