*This class is currently full. 2nd session added! Beginning Field Birding and Sauvie Island Exploration.

Three-part series on Saturdays in 2021: February 6, March 6, and April 3

Join Greg Baker and Ricky Allen for Saturday morning explorations at one of Oregon’s most accessible Important Bird Areas, Sauvie Island Wildlife Area.

This class series is perfect for those interested in developing and sharpening their birding skills under a variety of field conditions with expert birders. Explore different habitats on the island, learn bird calls, and search for waterfowl, songbirds, and raptors.

Meet Greg and Ricky at the Sauvie Island parking lot near the bridge at 8 am each Saturday. Parking permits must also be purchased on your own.

This outdoor program will follow all physical distancing and safety protocols dictated by the Oregon Health Administration. Masks required. Please feel free to bring your own spotting scope if you have one. Scroll down for details.
