Field Class: Birding by Ear, Year-Round Species with Laura Whittemore *FULL*

In this two-session field class (April 14 and 28) with longtime ear birder Laura Whittemore you’ll get to know the songs and calls of resident songbirds such as Song Sparrow, American Robin, Spotted Towhee, and Bewick’s Wren. Learning the locals is an important first step in building ear-birding skills, and by the end of your six hours in the field with a knowledgeable and patient teacher, your awareness and understanding of bird voices will be much greater.
