Flying Potatoes (Overnight Sun – Fri)

Flying high above and darting through old growth forests there lives the Marbled Murrelet, a bird nicknamed the flying potato.

Come join us as we investigate both forest and coastal ecosystems, two habitats that are integral to the Marbled Murrelets survival. Get ready to lay down on a bed of moss and wild ginger in Bird Alliance of Oregon’s Ten Mile sanctuary as you search for the Marbled Murrelets flying through the forest canopy.

In addition to the Marbled Murrelet we will explore Oregon’s coastal temperate rainforests, tide pools, lakes and dunes. We will stay at Neskowin School along the Southern Oregon Coast as we explore all of the ecosystems, plants and animals that live in this diverse region.

All transportation and food is provided. Participants provide their own camping gear.
