Pacific Northwest Trip: Olympic Peninsula with Stefan Schlick *2 spots left*
Join us as we explore the Strait of Juan de Fuca in search of rarities, loons, alcids, and spectacular views. With luck we will even be able to see Mt. Baker! In the beginning of the tour we will also spend a day at Ocean Shores targeting Rock Sandpiper.
Long-tailed Duck and Marbled Murrelet are two of the main target birds for this trip. Neither can be seen easily along the Oregon coast, but increased numbers of each in the protected waters of the Salish Sea make these birds easy to see on this trip. Also guaranteed is a good look at a Harlequin Duck. This is always a great trip spiked with real highlights and oddballs. And the weather is never as bad as it looks.
