*FULL* OWLS

Did you know that many owls have special feathers that allow them to fly silently? Could you have ever imagined that owls have three eyelids?

From the small Pygmy Owls found in our Sanctuary to the larger Great Horned Owls, this week will be devoted to learning all that is known about these fantastic animals! Study the adaptations that make these birds unique and learn how to use your own owl ears to help you be more aware.

We will also learn about other birds of prey, like hawks and falcons. Meet and sketch Julio, our education Great Horned Owl, and learn what happens to owls that are brought to our Wildlife Care Center. See if you can identify what these owls eat by dissecting owl pellets. If you like owls, this camp will be a hoot!
