Owls of NW Oregon

* Class is full, please join the waitlist.

Owls are among the most widely distributed, well-known, and easily-recognized animals on the planet, and yet are rarely seen and remain mysterious to the public at large, including birders. Join educator and birding guide Brodie Cass Talbott for an introduction to the owls that can be found in the Portland area, along with tips about how to find and enjoy owls where you live. After the classroom segment, explore the Portland Audubon Sanctuary in the dark to look and listen for some of our resident owls.

Please note that the *OPTIONAL* evening hike will be over rough, possibly wet terrain, in near total darkness. Participants should be comfortable hiking for at least one mile. Headlamps AND flashlights are recommended, as well as warm layers and rain gear.
