In the dry steppes of the Alentejo, we will look for Black-bellied Sandgrouse, Common Crane, larks, and Great and Little Bustard. An excursion to the Vale do Guadiana should yield Griffon Vultures and maybe the rare and exciting Bonelli’s Eagle.
On our last day, we will explore the Belém Tower, an architectural jewel and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will also visit the São Jorge castle overlooking the center of Lisbon and then we will spend the afternoon in delightful Sintra.
