What is a bird of prey? The answer may be more complicated than you think. In this introduction we’ll define and discuss this wide array of bird families, focusing on the features that unite them as fierce predators, and how we can observe these adaptations in the field.

      • Class: June 10, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
      • Class fee: $20 members / $30 non-members
      • ZOOM: A link to the virtual class will be emailed to you, along with instructions, one to two days before your class.
      • Note: At this time, distance learning classes with Bird Alliance of Oregon are not available outside of the allotted time. We will be sure to make our most popular distance learning sessions available again. Thank you!

 

Meet the Instructor

Brodie Cass Talbott

Brodie works as an educator with Bird Alliance of Oregon. After many years of wildland firefighting and leading river tours, he spent six years living and teaching across Asia, where his interest in birds became his passion. He has birded across five continents, and uses his experience in education and ecotourism to share his love of the outdoors with people from all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, with an eye towards increasing access to wild spaces for people from diverse communities.
