Sauvie Island Native Plant Sale: Benefiting Portland Audubon

Spring is sprouting and blooming! Join Portland Audubon and former board member, Jane Hartline, for a one-day sale of Oregon’s most beautiful and beneficial native plants. Half of all proceeds will go to Portland Audubon’s work to inspire all people to love and protect birds, wildlife, and the natural environment upon which life depends.

Sauvie Island Natives, who mostly sell wholesale and to landscapers, is only open to the public for a few days each season. It has a broad selection of native shrubs, wildflowers, ground covers, ferns and trees.

Portland Audubon volunteers will be on hand to answer plant questions and talk about topics like:

  • Why native plants benefit habitat
  • How to design a native plant area
  • Planting and care of native plants
