Seabird Nest Colony Monitoring Virtual Training at Cape Falcon

Important changes due to COVID-19: Seabird Nest Colony Monitoring Project surveys are currently moving forward under the following guidelines.

  • If members of the public are encountered during the survey, all social distancing policies will be adhered (remain at least 6 feet away, bring sanitizer/disinfectant with you and clean your hands before and after your survey)

Do you like seabirds and care about their welfare? Join a volunteer opportunity to monitor seabird nests at Cape Falcon Marine Reserve & at Oregon’s iconic Haystack Rock. Learn more about the Seabird Nest Monitoring project.

Bird Alliance of Oregon and partners are monitoring seabird nesting colonies adjacent to the Cape Falcon Marine Reserve in order to better understand how seabirds may respond to the new protections.
