Thursday Bird Song Walks in April: Oaks Bottom

Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge is a fan favorite! It is the largest remaining natural area within the lower Willamette River floodplain and provides important habitat to more than 175 bird species. This site hosts a variety of meadow, woodland, and wetland habitat. Throughout the walks we may hear up to 10 different species of warblers including MacGillivray’s, Hermit, and Nashville warblers

We hope to spot colorful visitors such as the Western Tanager and Black-headed Grosbeak. Along with a number of Flycatchers like the Olive-sided Flycatcher, Willow Flycatcher, Hammond’s Flycatcher, and Pacific-slope Flycatcher.

Bird Song Walks at Oaks Bottom occur every Thursday in April, beginning April 6 and ending April 27. Walks are held from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. RSVP below!
