Warbler Identification with John Rakestraw
Early May is a fantastic time of year to learn about warbler identification! After taking this class you will be ready to identify those colorful, tiny birds often found at the tops of trees. You will also be ready to identify a MacGillivray’s Warbler found lurking around in bushes or a Common Yellowthroat hopping around your favorite wetland.
This two-part series focuses on a group of birds notorious for giving birdwatchers a stiff neck and bewildered stare. Local author, expert birder, and guide John Rakestraw will show you how to identify these birds by sight and sound as well as posture and performance. Please register seperately for each class.
