Watercolor Painting with Ronna: The Western Meadowlark

*This is a live, online art class.

Birds are an excellent source of inspiration and a joy to paint in watercolor. Join this live, online class to paint alongside Ronna Fujisawa, an experienced watercolor painter, art educator, and bird enthusiast.

Let’s not forget the Oregon state bird, the Western Meadowlark. With cryptic coloration in combination with brilliant yellow, its beautiful plumage stuns among summer grasses. With watercolor, we will approach mixing grays and neutral colors to allow this lovely bird to sing in all its glory. We will also explore the difference between wet on wet painting and wet on dry to achieve harmony and balance in painting.

Students can paint along with Ronna during this live class or work at their own pace with access to the recording of the class after the session.
