Gulls in Winter

The Pacific Northwest hosts a great diversity of gull species in the winter. While some individuals can be very challenging to identify, most gulls are pretty easy if you know what to look for. And unlike many species of birds, gulls will actually sit still and let you study them. This class will introduce you to the regularly occurring species, showing you how to differentiate each one by size, shape, and plumage.
