Wild Winter Art *FULL*

Come explore our forested and frosty winter wonderland over school break! Embark on two-day adventures of animal ecology exploration, searching for signs and secrets that are only uncovered in the winter landscape, discover how animals adapt, survive, and move through one of the most beautiful seasons at Winter Break Camp with Bird Alliance of Oregon!

Wild Winter Art Welcome winter solstice with a couple mornings in Bird Alliance of Oregon’s Nature Sanctuary. Search for clues to discover what is happening during the shortest days of the year, create art using items from nature and make rolled beeswax candles to shine some light into the long night.

Fee: $85 members/$100 non-members, for both days
Grades: 1st-3rd
When: December 21 & December 22, 2020
Class time: 8:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Materials: Water bottle, backpack, face mask

Youth Education In-Person Programs
Mandatory Guidelines

Stay home if you, a member in your household, or anyone you have been in contact with has any of these symptoms:
Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea

Maintain physical distance of at least (6) six feet between you and people who you do not live with.
Use cloth, paper or disposable face coverings in public. All participants must wear a face covering at all times. If you need to take your mask off temporarily to take a drink of water and/or get some air, please hang back allowing an additional 20 feet of distance from the group, take the break you need and reposition your mask before rejoining the group.
Everyone must drive to the location on their own, or with members of their household.

Standards Bird Alliance of Oregon will follow:
No more than 10 participants, plus the instructor
Choose locations with plenty of room to stay safe:
Wide, open spaces are best
No crowded trails – limit to early morning walks and/or weekdays
Prioritize trails that are one-directional
Prioritize locations with trails at least 6-feet wide
No scopes, no sharing of equipment
