Winter Waterfowl

Many species of waterfowl spend the winter in the Willamette Valley. This class will show you how to identify ducks, geese, and swans by looking at shape, behavior, and pattern, with an emphasis on identifying birds at a distance. We will also be looking at the various subspecies of Canada and Cackling Geese that winter here.
