*FULL* World of Watercraft (Overnight Wed-Fri)
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to kayak along the Willamette, to bird watch from a canoe, or to splash down the Clackamas River in a raft? This camp is all about learning the ways of non-motorized watercrafts.
First, get your feet wet exploring Oneonta Gorge, home to fascinating plants and animals. Then, spend two days kayaking and canoeing on the Willamette River with great views of Ross Island, a place that Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles and River Otter call home.
We’ll spend two nights at Portland Audubon’s Marmot Cabin. The cabin’s location will allow us to get an early start for the rest of the week as you try your hand at a different paddle craft during a day of fun and skill building. On Friday, we will raft the Clackamas River, watching for Belted Kingfishers and Osprey along the way. Pack your swimsuit and come ready to get soaked!
